Row with Arch City!

ABOUT US

Arch City Rowing Club (ACRC) is a club team with rowers from multiple school districts, including: Olentangy, Delaware, Worthington, Dublin and others.

ACRC is a juniors rowing club, dedicated to high-level training and development of competitive rowers through a full-body, multi-discipline program.

Arch City also offers opportunities for adults, 23+, to row competitively or just for fun.  Click here for more information about our ACRC Masters rowing.

WHY ROW?

  • Fitness - Rowers are among the fittest athletes around. Rowing a 2,000 meter race (2K) is equal to playing 2 back-to-back basket-ball games!
  • Teamwork - Rowers must work together to win races. Individual rowers are only as good as the rest of the boat.
  • Friendship - Rowers share a special bond. Friends you make in the boat will be friends for life.
  • Life - Rowing prepares you for life and gives you tools needed to compete, succeed, and thrive.

ROWING BASICS

  • Two competitive seasons, spring (2Ks) and fall (5Ks). We also offer summer rowing and winter conditioning.
  • No experience needed! Rowers should be 13-18 years old, able to lift and lower 35 lbs., and competent swimmers.
  • Equipment is provided. Bring yourself and a water bottle.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

"If you want an athletic scholarship, grab an oar and hit the water!"
  • ACRC rowers have gone on to row on scholarship at multiple NCAA programs, including Ohio State, Virginia, Texas, Wisconsin, Syracuse, San Diego, Indiana, Tennessee, Stetson, and other D-I, D-II, and D-III programs.
  • 1 in 2 female rowers and nearly 1 in 6 male rowers attend college on an athletic scholarship, far surpassing all other sports and creating more opportunities for ACRC rowers.
